Kickoff your summer at the Library!
Celebrate the start of an exciting summer reading season with a day full of creativity, art, and prizes for all ages!
Sign up for the Summer Reading Challenge on Kickoff Day on Tuesday, May 27, 2025 – or stop by if you're already registered – to claim a special kickoff prize, available only on this day. We will have prizes for kids, teens, and adults.
While you’re here, unleash your inner artist by creating a masterpiece for our Tiny Art Show! All supplies will be provided for you to make a miniature work of art to display at the library through the end of June. After the show, your tiny creation is yours to take home.
Books and creativity go hand in hand, so join us and get inspired to make this summer your most artistic one yet!

The 2025 SRP theme is Color Our World, highlighting the power art has to transform, uplift, and connect us all.
Patrons of all ages are invited to participate in Summer Reading by attending fun events hosted by the library and completing reading challenges. This year’s program consists of four age groups:
- Read-to-Me (Ages 0-5)
- Youth (Ages 6-12)
- Teens (Ages 13-18)
- Adults (Ages 18 and older)
All age groups can officially begin registering for the Library's Summer Reading Program on Monday, May 19; however, each of our five branches will host our special SRP Kickoff Day on Tuesday, May 27 (the day after Memorial Day).
