Nature on the Geaux, which aims to foster a deeper connection to wildlife and nature through engaging and educational programs, will present a special “Creepy Critters” show during this year’s Livingston Parish Book Festival.

The presentation will be led by Tanee Janusz, an environmental educator and skilled animal keeper for more than 25 years. Janusz provides a wide range of educational experiences for schools, universities, camps, retirement communities, daycares, festivals, and scouts across southeast Louisiana and parts of Mississippi.

This interactive presentation will feature Nature on the Geaux’s “animal ambassadors,” which include snakes, reptiles, and spiders, among others.

The 9th Annual Livingston Parish Book Festival will be held Saturday, November 9, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Main Branch in Livingston, located at 20390 Iowa Street, Livingston, LA, 70754.

The Book Festival features author discussions, book signings, live music, special presentations, food, face painting, games, and other activities. Visitors are also able to utilize any of the library’s resources.

The event, hosted by the Livingston Parish Library, is free and open to the public. This is the Library’s biggest single-day event. All other LPL branches will be closed on November 9.
