Library Funding on April 5 Ballot

Livingston Parish Library is on the April 5 ballot for the renewal of an existing 10 mill, 10-year property tax set to expire at the end of 2014. The millage generates 93% of the library’s total budget for operating and maintaining the Albany-Springfield, Denham Springs-Walker, Main, South, and Watson branches. On Saturday, April 5, Livingston Parish Library is asking the citizens to vote on the renewal of its 10-mill property tax, which would fund the library’s operations for the next 10 years.
