2025 HOLIDAY CLOSURES
All branches of the Livingston Parish Library will be closed on the following dates in observance of listed holidays. All branches will reopen the following business day according to their regularly scheduled hours.
- Wednesday, January 1 – New Year’s Day
- Monday, January 20 – Martin Luther King Jr. Day
- Tuesday, March 4 – Mardi Gras Day
- Friday, April 18 & Saturday, April 19 – Good Friday & Easter
- Monday, May 26 – Memorial Day
- Saturday, June 21 – Juneteenth Day
- Friday, July 4 – Independence Day
- Monday, September 1 – Labor Day
- Tuesday, November 11 – Veterans Day
- Thursday, November 27 & Friday, November 28 – Thanksgiving
- Wednesday, December 24 through Friday, December 26 – Christmas
- Wednesday, December 31 – New Year’s Eve
2025 EVENT CLOSURES
The Livingston Parish Library hosts large community events two to three times a year. All library branches will be closed on the following dates except those housing the events. All branches will reopen the following business day according to their regularly scheduled hours.
- Saturday, March 29 – Comic Con (located at the Denham Springs-Walker Branch)
- Saturday, October 25 – Book Festival (located at the Main Branch)
2025 TRAINING CLOSURES
All branches of the Livingston Parish Library close two days a year for system-wide staff training: one in the spring and one in winter. Notices will be posted at each library location and on the library’s website before each staff training day.
